Greetings all- We are testing a configuration of a K3/0 > K3/100 twin setup. the K3/0 is in the qth, the K3/100 is at K6LRG with appropriate internet connections and port throughs on both locations. We have been able (thanks in particular to a great deal of help from N6ML) to get the system working great in cw mode including remote contest keying from N1MM. As an afterthought(hi.. well actually we have another op who will need this as the primary mode of use) I switched over to ssb to test. Recieve audio is perfect. I hooked a foot swith up to the front panel of the K3/0 and when I key the foot switch, the K3/0 display switches to cw mode and no output is produced from the k3. I can ovbserve the remote k3 and see that it is not keying up nor does it seem to be switching to cw mode that I can see. I can see that both vfo's are in ssb mode, and that the K3 is not in split mode or anything like that.
Looking for some suggestions from the elecraft brain trust on this one... Anyone have any ideas? software glitch? methodology error? any others out on the reflector doing some K3/) remoting? What an awesome solution, I think we are very close to being able to utilize this for remote contesting! hoping to solve some of these minor last details and would greatly appreciate any input! thanks in advance!
