If Don doesn't mind me following on... If, like me, you don't use a headset all the time, I use a desk mic most of the time, a stereo extension cable plugged into the K3's rear panel mic jack and brought to the front of the radio (I just coil it up underneath) makes connecting it a breeze. I do likewise with a footswitch cable to the rear jack. I don't like reaching back there and fishing for jacks any more than I have to!
