Does anyone know the trick to make the XG3 send its CW buffer memory. I use the tool to configure it:
WM,de_w6das_test; I do WM; unit responds with WM WM,de_w6das_test; According to instructions, this confirms the CW buffer is programmed. If I do W; Unit is supposed to send the CW buffer contents, e.g. ³de w6das test² Instead it sends a steady carrier. Not good. If I use ³immediate² mode, e.g. W,de_w6das_test; it sends once just fine. All is good here. I set up PF1 key, e.g. PF,01,01; When I hold PF1 it sends out steady carrier. No CW. Before, it did the sweep function defined under PF1. I¹d like to be able to use the PF1 key without the computer attached, plus the embedded commands available for the CW buffer. Am I missing something here? Firmware 1.14 appears current. Utility 1.4.3.22 for Mac.
