Precisely...I made the same question and someone said it's been discussed in the KX3 reflector. I couldn't find such thread. I sold my FT-897D to partially fund the KX3, believing it wouldn't long before the 2M module came out. It's been more than a year without 2M module and VHF capability. I drank the kool aid (K3, KPA500 and KX3), but I must admit this has been very disappointing.
