I have had a similar thing happen to me also. I have been in a contest on a run freq. and suddenly the KPA500/KAT500 will fault. This is on CW. If I do a 'tune' the amp/tuner will retune and I can continue. Of course in the few seconds it takes I will usually lose the freq.
