I tried this several years ago. It worked for a while, but at times it went into keyer mode. Don't remember exactly what I got, or why, but I couldn't use it. I havn't had trouble switching from bug to keyer because the bug has a much heavier action and that acts as a "tell" to get me in the correct mode. I now think that I would have trouble using a keyer in semiauto mode. I would have to set it up like a bug with respect to tension and gap. These days, I only use my paddles portable, as the Vibroplex Original is a little heavy to travel with. My hand keys tend to be on the large size also. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Don Brown" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Elecraft" <elecraft@mailman.qth.net> Sent: Tuesday, January 31, 2006 2:45 PM Subject: [Elecraft] Bug simulator
