May I suggest that you acquire from the XYL a bed sheet that will cover the area of the floor that you and the assembly bench will occupy (maybe even more). Nuts, bolts and other things that bounce when dropped do not bounce on the sheet. A white sheet is preferable because radio stuff cannot blend itself into the sheet's background.
