It depend on which Genovation unit you are using. There are three versions. One is a true serial device - it emits ASCII (RS-232). One is a USB Virtual serial device - it also emits ASCII (USB). The third is an USB HID (Human Interface Device) - it is a virtual keyboard and emits scan codes. 73, ...
