I'm curious as to exactly why a "junk" connector supposedly has so much more loss than a "good" connector?
They're probably both (nickel, silver ???) plated brass with a dielectric insulator usually Teflon, phenolic or ?? Is it the plating, the insulator, the fit of the threads, the solder-ability, or what, that makes the lossy? I can understand it if the dimensions are way off or they don't thread on properly, but that should be obvious in the installation process. Not trying to start a fight or insult anyone. 73, Charlie k3ICH ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to arch...@mail-archive.com
