After enjoying JT65 and FT8 with WSJT-X on my Mac connected to my Icom IC-7410 via a SignaLink USB box, my radio world is about to change quite a bit. I too am buying a nice shiny new K3S. Hey, I deserve it. I should have it here and out of the box in the next ten days or so.
I'll be using the USB connector on the back of the K3S and connecting the cable directly to one of my Mac's USB ports, so what I need to know are these things: 1. How should WSJT-X's Preference Panels be set for this? 2. What settings must I have in the K3S menus? 3. How should the Mac's Sound Preferences be set? Any others to set? 4. How is ALC controlled? [This was done with the SignaLink's TX control] 5. How is the audio level for the waterfall controlled? [This was done with the SignaLink's RX control] Hope you can help. Cheers!
