Shure manufactures ( or at least did when I repped them) in Mexico at their plant.
They also were maintaining capabilities of manufacturing in the states,,,
used to be Evanston.. now has plant in Wheeling, IL.
Those old 444 and 450 paging mics were always emphasizing the 2.5 - 3 k region..
