Yes, Battery Low refers to your external (12V) power supply voltage. It's a confusing term and should be changed, as almost nobody uses a battery for their main supply on the K3, so why is it called a battery?
Regarding the RTC, it doesn't keep very good RT, so is there any harm in just letting it go dead and not replacing it?
