It all depends on your definition of "made." A huge fraction of electronic components and most silicon is fabricated in a variety of countries in or close to Asia these days.  There really isn't any choice anymore.  If your "made" includes them, essentially nothing electronic is made in the US anymore.  OTOH, if your "made" includes only conceptual and detailed design, assembly, testing, and finished product logistics, then there is a big difference between Elecraft and FT<mumble> in terms of where it's made
