When you're XC skiing, every ounce counts, and you need bulletproof durabilty, NOTHING beats a KX1 in a Pelican 1060 micro-case! I've fallen on mine dozens of times! When you need a cute microrig, NOTHING beats a K1! And when you want the best radio you can build yourself, a dreamy CW rig, NOTHING beats a K2! But yes, a KX2 is a damn fine radio, and a mixture of all of the above.
