As 78 year old residents of Santa Cruz County, my wife and I remain VERY happy with our statistics -- two deaths, 146 cases in the entire county. And this in the face of folks from Silicon Valley and San Francisco driving down to hang out on our beaches, and driving sports cars and motorcycles up and down our roads like it's the Grand Prix. I don't view that as the result of "unbridled bureaucratic detail," but rather the people we elected to run our state and local government doing their jobs!
