Keep the center as high as you are comfortable with.  Higher will be better
for "DX".  If you're interested in more regional communications, then 20 ft
or so should be fine.  Height of the ends is not critical, but 6 ft or more
is preferred.

If you intend to work 80 meters, then the recommended length is 88 ft, and
you can tune it on 80 thru 10.  Of course this length is sometimes less
convenient to erect in the field.  I actually have both an 88 ft and a 44 ft
with a quick disconnect (powerpole connector) at the center so that I can
connect the feedline to either.  This way, you can just put up the shorter
one if you're not going to be on 80 that particular day.

As proof that it works, I used the 88 ft version here in Colorado on Field
Day.  Center was at 27 ft and ends about 8 ft.  Using my K2 at 5W made 301
QSOs on 80, 40, 20 and 15.
