Bob, According to my KXPA100 manual (A2-2013) - "... tap *tune* again within 5 seconds. The ATU will do a second tune using smaller steps in inductance and capacitance values." All my Electraft ATUs have a similar feature. Downside - It does take much longer to achieve the match.
