Can I assume the same is true of a K2/10 with the AUX IO option?  Are they

The KPA100 RS-232 data appears on pins 2 and 3 of the AUX IO connector
with pin 5 being RS-232 Signal Ground.  Chassis ground is on pin 1. See
the KPA100 manual.
DO NOT connect to any other pins of the AUX IO connector, those are
internal K2 signals to be used by external devices such as the KAT100 or
XV series transverters.

I can't help with the KPA1500 end.
