My eyes were recently opened in reviewing several Rob Sherwood NC0B
presentations regarding the receiver testing he is famous for…. as the
presentations really focused on transmitter cleanliness. In the presentations,
Rob argues we have many excellent receivers available to us today - and goes on
to argue today’s transmitters are the problem loading the bands with splatter,
phase noise, key clicks and other undesirable artifacts, with Elecraft among
the cleanest (and several other popular radios among the dirtiest).

Look up Rob on YouTube for several excellent presentations.
