Beyond reading the manuals which given you are a ham are quite approachable and 
informative.

If you are not a manual guy then maybe scan YouTube for what must be a lot of 
introductory guides.

The other obvious suggestion is make it goal centric; if into CW maybe avoid 
reading about voice compression or FT8.
