I have a Heil HM-10, but I used that on my Icom 746 Pro. I have a KX3 instead of a K3, but what I use for a microphone is a Zoom H4n Handy Recorder, set up as a USB microphone for my computer. I use Voicemeeter Potato, the software sound mixer, to direct it from the USB port to a 3.5mm TRS jack on my computer, which plugs into the KX3. I take the headphone jack on the KX3 and run it to a microphone port on the computer, which routes the sound to my speakers and/or headphones, and whatever bit of software I want to get the sound, such as CWGet or WSJT-X.
But it also works great as just an audio mike. It has the stereo capsules you can rotate to get a wider or narrower sound pattern, and the sound quality is top-notch, totally professional quality.
