The N1MM Logger+ Spectrum Display window is good. It provides click&pounce as well as standard pan displays. You can drive it with an SDR connected in the RX ANT loop. I've done this with an Airspy HF+ SDR on a K3 and it worked well, both locally and across a (more complex) remote link. I haven't bothered with it for the past few years so I can't advise on current generation SDRs or N1MM support which has evolved substantially. I'm sure it's still feasible.
