Rich,

Anytime you see the Elecraft message in the display it means that somehow
the voltage supplied to the K2 has dropped significantly.

Check your power supply wiring.  Use 16 guage wire or larger and be certain
all the connections are tight and the connector that plugs into the K2 is
properly soldered to the wires.

There are a few components in the K2 that could be at fault - the series
diode or resettable fuse in the +12 volt line are the prime suspects, but
they seldom fail themselves - virtually all problems of that sort can be
traced to a bad solder connection in the power wiring.
