Yes, there are a lot of USB adapters on the market at a wide variety of prices, but it seems not all are equal. Review the number of questions related to 'will adapter XXX work with YYY'. With the offering by Elecraft, there can be no doubt that it will work with the Elecraft K3.

Will other adapters work? Maybe, but we *DO* know the answer for the Elecraft adapter - no guessing.
