Sorry Carl, but I strongly disagree on this one. When you lock the frequency, you lock your transmit frequency. But that doesn't mean the other guy isn't going to shift around a bit, and you don't want to go chasing him either. I think it is very much preferable to NOT lock the RIT.

Also be aware that the RIT knob does not lock when you lock the main knob. I
had my own "where did the NCS go?" moment the other day.

I think it ought to lock.
