Shortly after I graduated from Cal Poly Pomona (in Pomona, California) I
purchased a Kenwood TS520 from Henry Radio in Los Angeles. It was one of the
few brand new rigs that I have purchased. I kept for almost 20 years until I
traded it for an Icom IC 735. Both were excellent radios. I still have the
735. I now use a Yaesu FT 1000MP. I will probably keep it until I can afford
a K3. I also had the privilage of using a KWM2 and a Central Electronics
100V. Both were great radios.
