Have you tried setting the receive equalizer? I set mine for the audio I like to hear I don't have the issue, sometimes I find exactly the opposite depending on all my settings and then decide whether I would like to touch the settings up a bit. (I did just get high marks from a recent hearing test. I told the wife I in fact must have selective hearing :-)
