Timely thread, I was just thinking last night that I should replace mine, as they are all rusted.
Ambient temp here varies from about 5ºC to 35ºC with potential high humidity, and we are only a couple of hundred metres from a salt water lake. If anyone comes up with a permanent fix, I'd be interested to hear of it (I'd prefer not to have to colour them in every-time I opened up the radio!).
