10 Hz tuning - fantastic!!!! I have been waiting for stepping less than 50 Hz.
Last night I was working PSK and the signal was fading bad and even when it was up it was S1 !!!. I was getting some dropout and realized it may be because strong signals close on the band. I cranked the width down and the shift until I only had his signal on the waterfall. I continued to have an excellant QSO and had even forgotten about the fading until he asked how I was copying and when I looked sometimes there were NO bars on the S meter. I had perfect copy. After the qso I looked and I had turned it down to 100 Hz (using my 250 filter). I had previously had trouble before getting it that narrow and having the signal in the center of the 50 Hz steps but NOW with the 10 Hz tuning I sould be able to uee it regularly. THANKS again guys. Nowhere else can somebody buy a reaio that continues to improve after they buy it and include features being requested by users AFTER they bought it! 73, de Jim KG0KP ----- Original Message ----- From: "K5WA" <k...@comcast.net> To: <elecraft@mailman.qth.net> Sent: Thursday, July 30, 2009 12:18 AM Subject: [Elecraft] K3 Firmware 3.23 is very nice! >I loaded the beta firmware 3.23 mainly to get the 10 Hz tuning on the pass > band.
