I bought two QSK kits from Phil Salas, AD5X.  One for my Dentron Clipperton and
one for my ALS-600.  I installed the one in my Clipperton last week.  I am now
235 QSOs into the CQWWCW plus several QSOs the week before and it is going
strong so far.  The relays are so little that I expected a loud bang and smoke
the first time I keyed, but not happening.  It is fast enough that I have had
some Qs at 40 WPM (No I can't send that fast, but my computer can!)  They were
only a little over 30 bucks and not too hard to install.  I can let you know
when I get the ALS 600 on line.  Look in the June 2009 QST for more info, but
don't rely on QST for the pin out on the relays.

I understand why many use the QSK-5 -- since it is amp independent.  If you're
using an Ameritron amp, the internal switch (QSK-5PC) is just a lot cleaner and
less complicated.  One control line from Key Out on the K3 to the amp input.
No fiddling, no jumpers or diodes, no timing issues.  Just hook it up and go.
I purchased my  AL-1200 years ago (before the MFJ buyout) with the switch
factory installed, and it is simple to use and smooth as silk.  I installed the
older PIN-5 internal switch on an AL-80A before that, same thing.
