Going on what I have heard so far and from my investigations and comparisons, it appears that my FT847 is going to become superfluous once the K3 arrives on the scene. Therefore, it's going on the market. (A shame really, I love my FT847, but the facts and figures dont lie, it appears that the K3 + PR6 combo will do a better job than it can on 6M which is what it's all about for me!) Is it sensitive enough compared to the other radios and if not, is the Elecraft pre-amp worth it or should I go for a masthead mounted pre-amp in preference?
