        On this page, Mike posts a long anti-IRV / pro-approval / pro-Condorcet
letter in response to a very short blurb saying that "choice voting" was
recommended by a task force for Davis city elections.
Mike, was this the actual "voting system article" that you wrote your
letter in reply to, or did you just paste it here? You should know that
"choice voting" refers to STV-PR, not to IRV. Hence your letter on that
page is a non-sequitur.

I reply:

My comment wasn't a reply to the Davis article. That website, I was told, discusses electoral reform and voting systems in general. I posted there by clicking on "comment", and I realized at the time that it would post as a reply to that article. I didn't care, and only wanted to post my voting system comments.

I'd been told that that was a voting system website, and I expected that IRV wouldn't be unheard of there.

But, aside from that, I didn't know that Choice Voting only refers to multiwinner elections. Are you sure about that?

But if my reply was off-topic in some sense, can't you find something better to complain about or object to?

Mike Ossipoff
