*Method 1 (Preferred method):*
When you switched to using the Cadence color scheme (Window->Color
Schemes->Cadence Colors, Layers and Keystrokes), you should have saved
the xml file (electricPrefsBack.xml) when the Electric program prompted
you to.
If you click File->Preferences, then click the Import button, you should
be able to import electricPrefsBack.xml to revert back.
*Method 2:*
If you do not have the xml file, there is another way, but you would
have to do it at your own risk. It requires that you edit the Windows
registry. So you have to be careful not do something that could mess up
your Windows operating system. It could also possibly cause you to lose
some Electric settings that you might want to keep.
*a)*
If want to reset Electric so that it starts like running for the first time:
Open regedit [ http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch001348.htm ], then
navigate to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER / Software / JavaSoft / Prefs / com / sun / electric
Then, delete the electric folder like what was described in a previous
Electric mailing list post [
http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.comp.cad.electric.discuss/586 ].
However, as mentioned in the post, you will lose any key bindings that
you have set.
or *b)*
If you do the following instead, it might help the key bindings. First,
in Electric, click "Window->Color Schemes->Restore Default Colors", then
close Electric. Second, open regedit in Windows and navigate to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER / Software / JavaSoft / Prefs / com / sun / electric /
technology / technologies
Delete just the technologies folder. Then, open Electric, and hopefully
you will still have your key bindings with the color scheme restored.

fan of it and prefer the original color scheme that came with the
software. I've been trying to figure out a way to revert the change,
