Actually, there's a very easy way to restore default colors. Use the
"Restore Default Colors" command under the "Window / Color Schemes"
submenu. That submenu also has entries for a black-background scheme
(similar to Cadence) and a white-background scheme.
Unfortunately, the command you used to switch to Cadence colors also
switches some layer appearances and a number of keystroke commands to
conform more closely to their system. This is NOT undoable by the
commands I mentioned. You will have to reset the "General / Key
Bindings" preferences to restore them, and the "Display / Layers"
preferences to restore those. Or, you could use the methods described
already, where you save and restore your preferences in an XML file.

Hello Everyone,
Earlier today I switched to the cadence color scheme. I'm not a big
fan of it and prefer the original color scheme that came with the
software. I've been trying to figure out a way to revert the change,
but I haven't had any luck. Does anyone know how to revert back to
the original color scheme?
thank you,
