the Emacs menu
Ada>Help>Ada Mode (which according to C-h k runs menu-function-0??)
picks up the 4.01 version.

Hmm. If I run emacs 24.3 -Q, then (package-initialize), then open a .adb
file, menu "Ada | Help | Ada mode" gives "info file not found"

C-h i also gives an error. Sigh.

With my full .emacs, "Ada | Help | Ada mode" gives the info file
installed in /usr/share/info (from Cygwin!). I think that's because I
didn't create a "dir" file in the ELPA package; that's in version 5.0.1

M-x locate-library ada-mode

report?

Library is file ~/.emacs.d/elpa/ada-mode-5.0/ada-mode.el

Good. Try creating a dir file there.
