I suspect most overlays already have an explicit evaporate property
set but I dont know.  Richards suggestion would at least tell us that.

I thought I would quickly try it out, but all the overlay defuns are in
C code and it would require a fair bit of effort on my part to become
familiar with the C mechanisms (how to set, get properties, invoke other
defuns, etc.), and I dont have that much time.

The little I have read about defadvice suggests it might do for some
preliminary tests.  Can someone advise me if thats the case?
