Nope. :periods is about time, message-id correct references is about "space": if a mailing list live at two distinct places, BARK admins should be able to point to the place they prefer. > That said, it is not universal that archives contain message id in the > URL. :archive-format-string assumes a message-id in the URL. If Superseded-by starts to accept URLs like https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/emacs-orgmode/2026-04/msg00419.html then there is not reliable and simple way to get the message-id. Again, we can make the parser accept Superseded-by: https://orgmode.org/list/<message-id> which would be okay if you're ready to deal with a few false negatives like "Superseded-by: https://orgmode.org/list/message-id".
