I looked in rcp.el for the syntax for opening remote files, and found: /r@METHOD:USER@HOST:FILENAME I am confused about the r@METHOD part. I have tried it without it (hoping that the default would get used) and EFS gets used instead. I will eventually want to use ssh and scp, but have been experimenting around with rsh, and rcp because it is setup and working correctly. C-x C-f /r@rsh:me@myhost:/home/me/t.txt Wrong type argument: stringp, nil Thanks for any help. jlm.
