I should add that these aren't the only ideas. In reality, if there was a "New message" command, there'd also probably be
* A "respond" command instead of "reply" (name differing only to highlight that it works differently) that would send unequivocally to just the list. * A "respond to off-list participant" command that would reply to the list + the sender (the Growl discussion list amongst others invites non-subscribers to mail in, and encourages reply-to-all). * A "take off-list" command that would reply just to the sender. Maybe it'd also choose a smaller signature, or a specific signature for the particular list, or why not remember the spell/grammar checking language for us multilingualists? Like anything it's a sea of potential features, and of course we'd see the benefits of all of these on this list. To a worm in horseradish, the world is horseradish.
