There is no Bcc field in incoming mail, that'd completely defeat the
purpose of Bcc.

"I am in the Bcc header" == "I am not in the To: header of the CC: header".

The question arises: "What does 'I' mean?". Letters needs to know not just my email address, but also any aliases of that address. For example, at Sussex all staff can be addressed by their username @sussex.ac.uk or by a "friendly name" - usually initials and surname.

It needs to be possible to associate aliases with each account, for the purpose of processing incoming emails. A useful heuristic would be to use <username>@<domain> where this isn't already the account's primary email address.
