I've seen a lot of comments in the list about Power USers and Expert Users and
Programmers and such that lead me to think that a significant portion of
posters are seeing Letters as being a mail client aimed at programmers and
über-geeks and shell users exclusively.

I don't think that's what Power User means. I *hope* it means "People who have
to deal with a lot of mail, probably from a lot of sources and almost certainly
on a lot of different accounts."

So Power Users are not necessarily engineer and programmers who want to fiddle
a lot with a mail client. They are not people who will be migrating back to
Mutt+BBEdit if they don't like Letters. They may not even be particularly
technical. They just get a lot of mail and they need something that makes their
lives better.

So, if we're talking about usability issues or GUI issues let's please stop
assuming that everyone using this program graduated from MIT or CalTech and
dreams in COBOL.
