Mulberry used to use a UK "Letter box", for the "send" icon, but abandoned
it because it wasn't understood outside the UK.
The ideas that I've seen so far that are truly international (AFAIK) are
the air-mail envelope (though it may be losing currency-when was the last
time you either sent or received one?), the postage stamp, and the letter
slot without text.
