Thanks
I'm not sure I responded, so here it is, perhaps again:
Situation: Mac OS 10 with Classic, Emailer, dialup connection, not
established.
Connect Twice:
If the machine is not online the first Connect command from Emailer
asks OS 10 to connect to the internet. Emailer continues, during the
connection, to try to send/receive (as it's been asked) but times out
because of the delaying dialing and connecting. Thus, a second "Connect
Now" command is needed.
If the machine is already online one "Connect Now" command is
needed, not two.
Starting in 9.2:
Emailer functions as always. If online already, it connects. If
not online and properly set up, it dials and connects. Depending on the
time taken to connect, it may or may not time out. For me it normally
does not time out.
Emailer in OS 10
Does not work.
