Did anyone else catch the keynote address by Jobs at MacWorld yesterday? I stopped my the Apple store for their big screen TV video streaming event. Unfortunately, I was misinformed as to the start time and I missed the first hour of a 2 hour address.
So I do not know what changes he may or may not have mentioned about making the OS X mail app more Emailer like, or better anyway. Does anyone know? I was also noticing how Apple has applied the "filtering via mail actions" abilities of Emailer, to the latest version of iTunes. At least that is how it struck me at the time. I was thinking, gee, now they are at least parting out the ideas they had in Emailer. Maybe they will continue the trend? I also heard something about RealPlayer? I'm not sure as I don't even know what Real player is (don't use it). But, after the poll mentioned earlier on this list on macslash (HTTP://www.MacSlash.com/) that listed Real Player as the most requested OS X app, followed by Emailer, I was wondering if the poll actually had some validity? If so, Emailer "might" be next. One other thing. With Jaguar (missed that release discussion) and all the new iApps, Sherlock3, improving iTunes, iCalendar plus the new software that is starting to be developed for X, I am beginning to feel a little behind the curve. I love this legacy mac and I can do a lot of things here in 9.1 and I love Emailer and Panorama. But they are both stuck in 9 land (Panorama not permanently but no idea when). At the last MacWorld, I could see the handwriting on the wall. At this MacWorld, I can "feel" the handwriting on the wall. By the next MacWorld, I will probably be wanting to put up some graffiti of my own about how cool my new mac is, OS X, etc....
