If you never ran the freshly installed version, and immediatly placed it 
in the same location as the old version, then it should use the old prefs 
and this won't be an issue.

If however, it can't figure out where the correct mail database is, 
simply start Emailer while holding the F5 key, and it will ask you to 
locate the "Emailer Files" folder you wish to use. Point it to the old 
copy's version and all will be well.
