Thought I'd see if any of you could assist me with this recurrent
problem with web browsers. I'm using OS8.6 on a 300+ mhz iMac, and no
matter which browser I use - Netscape, Mozilla or IE - sooner or later
when I'm switching back and forth between pages or hyperlinks, such as
browsing pages/photos in catalogs as I was just now, the thing just locks
up. Nothing I do to get it going will work short of turning off the
computer and restarting.
Is this a memory allottment problem? An extensions conflict with
other programs? A basic fault of web browsers?
Any assistance would be appreciated. I found that IE seemed the
most solid and stable, but tried Mozilla because of the Netscape-like
'feel' of the commands and found that it, too was okay for speed and
fairly lean function, but would lock up just the same. Thanks for your
help - Charles
