This is the issue in my case, particularly accented vowels in Spanish, and other 'upper' Ascii. It was one way around moving files between pc and mac and not messing with the changes of accents, but rtf has produced problems attached to email recently. Alicia Gordon mentioned this. I ran into two PC people rejecting / not being able to open what I sent them. I may try zipping the rtf to see what happens. and Miheer Hemant Mafatlal says >And although RTF is an open standard which, as usual, M$ has perverted - M$ uses "Microsoft Rich Text Format" - this differs from the standard - so, even RTF is a bad idea, if one is unfortunate enough to use a PeeCee. so ... what can / do we do, those of us who are sent work in Word and must resend, return work, as seamlessly as possible? tks, virginia ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
