OK; I've finally located a source for C.E. 2.0v3.
I did the install; even going so far as to do it under
"Extensions Off".
During the first run, after going thru all the regular new app.
processes, it asked about rebuilding the database. Sure, rebuild it; I've
saved a copy on another partition.
BUT.!
During the installation, the folder update process started into its
thing and stopped not even half way thru - saying there was some kind of
problem requiring it to quit that and complete the installation. "OK"
NOW...
None of the folders beyond that point show any contents when listed
by the application, but they do show contents from the finder level.
When in one of those finder file folders, double clicking any of msg.
icons brings up C.E.; but as far as C.E. goes is just to squalk an alert
at me.

I tried a reinstall -( chose 'upgrade')- the installer didn't
override the first 2.0v3 or replace it, it put a _new_ one right in the
same folder.!...?
And there was no difference in the 'personal folders' contents.
I then tried an "Option" startup database rebuild; first time :
regular; second attempt : 'advanced'.
Still can't see or open any of the larger part of this file.

I do still have the backup stashed safely asside; would it do any good
to try integrating the two.? How would I go about that.?
