For anyone looking for a regular cheap mail server, might I suggest SIMS
(Stalker Internet Mail Server, available from www.stalker.com). Its free,
and pretty powerful for the low end user.

I run a number of domains off one copy of SIMS (it isn't really designed
for multiple domains, but it can handle them if you do it right). I also
use it for my main company server. SIMS has good anti-spam abilities, and
support SMTP, POP, and IP based authentication for sending email.

All in all, for a free mail server, I personally don't think there is a
better, easier to use product. Although the EIMS (Eudora Internet Mail
Server) users would beg to differ. But IIRC, the free version of EIMS has
some spam problems (or maybe it was authentication problems, I don't
remember which, but I think it was something that in today's spam
infested world, you didn't want to go without).
