Are you sure you need OS 9.2.2? Not many things require OS 9.2.2. Normally OS 9.1 will do. For most users, OS 9.2.2 is only needed as the Classic OS when running OS X. Exceptions: Macs that came with OS 9.2x - which yours obviously did not. That said, it is just as difficult to acquire OS 9.1 (or 9.0 or 9.0.4). eBay has all versions of OS 9 available. Apple in it's infinite wisdom has not sold OS 9.1 for a long time.
